RunPlan for iOS
Privacy
Last updated 22 April 2026
RunPlan for iOS is a personal running journal. It is built for a small group of invited friends. Your data stays on your device. Nothing is sent to any server we control.
What we collect
From your Strava account, with your permission when you sign in:
- Your Strava athlete ID
- Your activities: dates, distances, durations, paces, heart rate where your Strava privacy settings allow it
- An access token and refresh token so the app can sync new activities from Strava when you open it
From you directly: nothing. The app doesn’t ask for your email, phone, or location. There is no account to create.
Where it's stored
- On your device only.Activities are stored in Apple’s SwiftData on the iPhone. Strava tokens are stored in the iOS Keychain and never leave the device in plaintext.
- No servers. We do not operate a backend for the iOS app. Your runs are never uploaded anywhere.
- No analytics, no tracking, no ads. The app does not include any third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
Who we talk to
The app makes network requests to exactly one place:
- Strava — to sign you in and fetch your activities. Subject to Strava’s own privacy policy.
Who can see your data
Only you. The app does not share data with anyone, including the developer. If you use iCloud device backup, iCloud will back up the app’s local database as part of your device backup — this is between you and Apple.
Retention
For as long as you keep the app installed. Everything is deleted when you sign out of Strava inside RunPlan, or when you delete the app.
How to delete your data
Two options, either one removes everything:
- In the app: Settings → Sign out of Strava. This clears the access token and deletes every run stored on your device.
- Delete the RunPlan app from your iPhone. iOS removes the app’s local database and Keychain entries with it.
To also revoke RunPlan’s access on Strava’s side, visit Strava › My Apps and remove RunPlan.
Children
RunPlan is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will appear at this URL with an updated date. Material changes will be mentioned in the app’s release notes.
